Meet Our Team

Kashoro Nyenyezi and Dr. Jean Claude Luhere are the founders of Helping Hand for Survivors,
Inc., a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Both are survivors of the horrific atrocities

committed by militias during the 1996 war in their native Democratic Republic of Congo.
Having lived through the terror of these war crimes, they were compelled by deep empathy and a
shared understanding of the trauma to create an organization dedicated to healing those who have
suffered similar experiences while promoting peace and equality. Kashoro Nyenyezi has been
working with sexually abused women and their children in the Democratic Republic of the
Congo (DRC) Since 2012. Her prior research (thesis) examined the study of HIV/AIDS epidemic
among Congolese women in eastern DRC from 1996 to 2011. She observed and understood how
gender-based violence employed in DRC conflicts damaged the lives of several Congolese
women and girls. She felt compelled to give back to these women and their children through
education and protection programs that foster self-confidence and survival skills. Kashoro is a
researcher, advocate, and human rights consultant. She holds a bachelor's degree in international
studies and diplomacy, a master's degree in public administration, and she is currently a PhD.
Candidate in Social Justice Education at the University of Toronto specializing in Land, Sexual,
and Gender-Based Violence Prevention.

Dr. Jean Claude Luhere is a foreign medical doctor and project management expert deeply
committed to supporting survivors of conflict, trauma, and human rights abuses. As Director and
Project Manager for Helping Hand for Survivors, he oversees Centre Hospitalier Grand
Samaritain, the organization's clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive care for survivors. Dr.
Luhere possesses extensive experience in managing complex projects and diverse teams and is
passionate about delivering high-impact interventions that foster healing, justice, and dignity. His
expertise, honed through leading and implementing national and international teams and
programs, as well as managing and coordinating health and nutrition projects, makes him an
asset to Helping Hand for Survivors, Inc. Together, Kashoro and Dr. Luhere embody the power
of lived experience and professional expertise to create lasting positive change in the lives of
Congolese survivors.

Amini B. Cathy is a seasoned nutritionist and health program manager dedicated to improving the health and well-being of vulnerable populations. With expertise in nutrition science and program management, Amini designs, implements, and evaluates health programs that address malnutrition, promote healthy behaviors, and support disease prevention. Her work focuses on developing and delivering evidence-based interventions that drive positive health outcomes, particularly for women, children, and communities affected by conflict, poverty, and inequality.

Neema K. Mubalama is a dynamic and culturally sensitive program manager dedicated to promoting education, cultural exchange, and community development. With expertise in education and cross-cultural programming, Neema designs and implements initiatives that foster global understanding, social cohesion, and inclusive learning environments. Her work focuses on developing and delivering programs that support educational equity, cultural diversity, and community engagement, particularly for marginalized and under-resourced populations.

Sandra N. Bulonza is a passionate and dedicated project manager committed to advancing women's empowerment and gender equality. With expertise in project management, community development, and women rights, Sandra designs and implements initiatives that promote women's economic independence, social justice, and leadership. Her work focuses on creating safe spaces for women to share their experiences, build confidence, and develop skills to overcome social, economic, and cultural barriers.

Rafiki Kafuko Elizabeth is a finance professional responsible for overseeing the financial management of Helping Hand for Survivors (HHS). With expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and accounting, Rafiki ensures the organization's financial integrity, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Her role involves managing financial reporting, grant management, and donor relations, as well as providing strategic financial guidance to support HHS's mission and programs.

Monsengwo NTANGAMYAMPI Paques is a skilled and dedicated lawyer providing critical legal support to Helping Hand for Survivors (HHS). With expertise in human rights law, international law, and local jurisdiction, Monsengwo offers guidance on legal matters, advocacy, and policy development. His role involves representing HHS in legal proceedings, advising on program implementation, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, ultimately supporting the organization's mission to protect and empower vulnerable populations

Ntibonera Mugisho Julienis a seasoned IT professional responsible for overseeing the information technology infrastructure and systems of Helping Hand for Survivors (HHS) across the region. With expertise in IT management, network administration, and cybersecurity, Ntibon Mugisho Julien ensures the secure and efficient operation of HHS's technology systems, supporting the organization's critical work in empowering survivors of conflict and human rights abuses. His role involves developing and implementing IT strategies, managing technical support, and maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.

Rodrigue Nacigale is a devoted and passionate evangelist dedicated to spreading the message of hope, love, and redemption. With a strong calling to serve the Lord, Rodrigue shares the Gospel with diverse audiences, providing spiritual guidance, support, and encouragement. His ministry focuses on inspiring faith, fostering spiritual growth, and empowering individuals to live according to God's purpose and plan.

Yves N. Murhula is a dedicated and spirit-filled evangelist passionate about proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ. With a heart for souls and a calling to serve, Yves travels to share the Gospel, preach, and teach, inspiring faith, repentance, and spiritual transformation. His ministry emphasizes the importance of prayer, discipleship, and community, equipping believers to live victoriously and fulfill their divine purpose.
